Instructions

Step-by-Step Pizza Preparation

  • Proof the Yeast:
In a small bowl, mix yeast, sugar, and 1/4 cup warm water.
Stir gently and let it sit undisturbed for 5-10 minutes.
If the mixture becomes foamy and bubbly, your yeast is active and ready to use. If not, your yeast may be expired, and you’ll need to replace it.
  • Prepare the Dough:
In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar.
Add the proofed yeast mixture, cooking oil, and half a cup of water to a mixing bowl. Mix well with a wooden spoon.
Add the dry ingredients to this mixture. Mix with your hands, gradually adding more water as needed until you achieve a soft, slightly sticky dough.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it for 5 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 45 minutes to 1 hour until it doubles in size.

  • Cook the Minced Meat:
Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add chopped onions and sauté until light golden. Add garlic and stir until fragrant.
Add minced meat and cook, stirring occasionally until it releases its juices.
Add paprika, curry powder, and salt, then mix well. Cook until all liquid evaporates, then set aside to cool.

  • Prepare the Toppings:
Chop onions and tomatoes into small pieces and mix them.
Grate the mozzarella cheese and set it aside.
  • Roll Out the Dough:
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and knead it for a minute to remove air pockets.
Divide it into two equal portions (for two pizzas).
Lightly grease and flour your pans.
Roll out the first portion of dough to fit the size of your pan.
Place the rolled-out dough in the pan, pressing gently to fit.
  • Assemble the Pizza:
Spread 1 tablespoon of tomato paste evenly over the base, leaving a 1 cm border around the edges.
Sprinkle a little mozzarella cheese over the tomato paste. Evenly distribute half of the onion-tomato mixture.
Add half of the cooked minced meat as a topping.
Finally, top with the remaining mozzarella cheese. (Half of it)
Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the toppings.
Assemble the second pizza the same way.

  • Cook the Pizza Without an Oven
Place the pan on the smallest burner of your stove. Heat the pan on high for 30 seconds, then reduce to the lowest setting.
You can cook the second pizza on another burner or wait and cook on the same burner once the first one is cooked.
*If you are using a wide burner. The lowest setting of the flame is too high. It will burn your pizza. Instead, reduce the flame as though you are switching off and get it to a very, very low flame as shown below.
  • Cover the pan with a lid and let the pizza cook for 30-40 minutes.
Check occasionally to ensure the bottom does not burn.
Once the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown, your pizza is ready.
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
